They call Rwanda the land of a thousand hills. While rich with beauty and natural resources, strong economic growth, and political stability since the 1994 genocide, this small but mighty nation still has quite a few challenges. Thankfully, the land of a thousand hills has thousands of churches ready to mobilize their members to be the hands and feet of Jesus in their communities!

KEY LEADERSHIP
In spite of the overwhelming levels of poverty and both short & long term hurdles, there are glimmers of hope to be found and that's where our strategic partnership with dozens of local churches come into play, particularly under the leadership of our key partners, Pastors Pacifique & Kendi Hakizimana.
Pacifique is our partner in Rwanda. He is married to Eunice Kendi and together they have five children. After several encounters with God, Pacifique's heart was stirred and in 2009 he and his wife created Fatherhood Sanctuary, a ministry that seeks to reveal God's heart to the people. Their ministry includes the church and gospel music center, a school for vulnerable children, and the Hope Center that serves vulnerable women. Pacifique dreams of his ministry being firmly established and touching every nation on earth. When not doing ministry, he loves to spend quality time with his family and read.
Daisy has been working with Fatherhood Ministries for a year. She is from Kenya and is pursuing her Master's degree in communications. As part of Fatherhood Ministries she handles their communications, video and photography, and more. In order to support the incredible work she does with Fatherhood Ministries, and to help strengthen our own communications with our partners in Rwanda, we hired her as our Rwanda Field Director!
KEY INITIATIVES
Set beautifully alongside Volcanoes National Park in the northern part of Rwanda, Musanze District is also a place where poverty levels are high and in desperate need of local churches with a heart to reach beyond the four walls of their buildings to love their neighbors in words and deeds. Fatherhood Ministries is an incredible example of such a church.
Fatherhood Ministries focuses on four main areas: uniting pastors and churches, empowering women in ministry, raising up worship leaders, and connecting the church with business. Their goal is to create environments not of entertainment, but of true worship and knowledge of the power of Jesus Christ. This church impacts not just its own community, but its country and the surrounding nations. In addition, they have had the privilege of partnering with the government in multiple food relief initiatives.
Mosaic International is able to support Fatherhood Ministries and its church partners in multiple ways through consistent financial support, the hiring of our Rwandan Field Director, and the provision of resources for their ministry programs in Rwanda, Zambia, and Kenya. We are grateful to partner with Fatherhood Ministries through supporting the church itself, as well as the ongoing work of their preschool that focuses specifically on low income families and single mothers; a comprehensive sewing & business skills program for vulnerable women, and various relief and development initiatives such as solar lights, building homes for displaced families after a flood, and food relief for families particularly hit by the covid pandemic.
