"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." — Matthew 28:19
We don’t always get to choose the moment God stirs something deep in our hearts. Sometimes it’s during a church service, a late-night prayer, or a conversation with a friend that we hear the whisper: "Go."
For many believers, answering God’s call to missions is a holy, sometimes terrifying, yet deeply beautiful response to that whisper. It’s not just a calling, it’s an invitation to join Jesus in His final command to us in Matthew 28:19.

At Mosaic, we witness the power of this verse in motion every day. It doesn’t always look flashy. In fact, it rarely does. Sometimes it's as quiet as a prayer whispered over a family in need, or as loud as laughter shared in a village halfway across the world. But each act, big or small, echoes the call to "go and make disciples."
Answering God’s Call to Missions Begins With Relationship
The Great Commission isn’t a solo mission... it’s a relational one. When Jesus spoke those words in Matthew 28:19, He wasn’t sending His disciples out as strangers to a hurting world.
He was sending them as ambassadors of love, fueled by their relationship with Him.
That’s why at Mosaic, our number one priority is this: relationships first!
We don’t show up with pre-packaged solutions. We sit, listen, and learn. We strengthen local churches and walk with them as they reach their own communities. When the foundation is built on relationship, the transformation is deeper, richer, and lasting.
What Answering God’s Call to Missions Looks Like
The call of Matthew 28:19 doesn’t come with a roadmap, but it does come with a promise: that God is with us always. For some, answering God’s call to missions means boarding a plane. For others, it looks like teaching, building, giving, making your neighbor who is going through a tough time dinner, praying, or simply showing up where others won’t.
At Mosaic, our work reflects this diversity of callings:
Relief: Offering aid when crisis hits.
Development: Helping communities create long-term solutions.
Discipleship: Equipping local leaders to disciple others.
Mobilization: Inspiring the global Church to rise up and respond.
From Tanzania to the Philippines, we see God working through people just like you, ordinary believers answering an extraordinary call.

When You Feel Inadequate, Remember Who’s Sending You
Let’s be honest: answering God’s call to missions can be scary. Maybe you feel unqualified. Maybe you think someone else is better suited. But Matthew 28:19 doesn’t say, "Go when you feel ready."
It simply says, "Go."
Moses stuttered. Jonah ran. Peter doubted. Yet God still chose them. And He’s choosing you too. Not because you have it all together, but because He does. Your willingness is enough. Your faith is enough. And when you say yes, He promises to walk with you every step of the way.
Answering God’s Call to Missions: A Lifelong Invitation
Missions aren’t a box you check or a phase you outgrow. It’s a rhythm of life. Answering God’s call to missions means living with open hands and an open heart, in your neighborhood, your church, and across the globe.
Each step you take toward the Great Commission is a step deeper into God’s heart for the world. And the more you go, the more you realize: the mission field isn’t a place. It’s people. People who need love, hope, healing, and the good news of Jesus.
